Growth Equity / Diligence · with Market Strategy Group

Compressing 12-Week Diligence Into 12 Days

Market Strategy Group — a premier advisory firm to private equity sponsors — partnered with Ampliflyer to re-execute a recently completed $250M PE-backed cybersecurity engagement as a head-to-head benchmark. The AI-augmented approach delivered actionable strategic conclusions in 12 days versus 10–12 weeks, and surfaced an additional $900M in aligned program budgets that traditional diligence had not isolated.

Challenge

MSG selected a recently completed engagement — a $250M PE-backed cybersecurity platform seeking to expand into a $35B adjacent public-sector market — as a control group. The original work represented traditional consulting at its best: 10–12 weeks of research, 500+ survey responses, 20 executive interviews, and extensive analyst-led synthesis. Leadership wanted to test whether AI could augment that consulting-grade rigor while sharply accelerating the speed at which investors validate strategic growth assumptions.

Approach

MSG's partners re-executed the entire analysis under their direction using Ampliflyer's AI-native strategy platform. Consultants set the analytical frameworks, hypotheses, and interpretation while Ampliflyer's agents synthesized agency budgets, procurement signals, buyer segmentation patterns, and technology adoption trends. Quality-control agents kept outputs grounded in real-world data. The platform functioned as a force multiplier on human expertise, not a replacement.

Results

Ampliflyer delivered actionable conclusions in 12 days with a 60–80% reduction in research labor. The segmentation engine isolated a high-precision micro-segment — Zero Trust enforcement tools tied to identity orchestration within several federal financial regulatory agencies — representing nearly $900M in aligned program budgets obscured inside the broader $35B view. The result: a faster revenue pathway with lower competitive density, capable of accelerating portfolio company ARR growth by 18–24 months and shortening the path to EBITDA expansion and exit-multiple uplift.

Industry Onboarding in Days, Not Weeks — Across Three C-Suite Workstreams

A middle-market telehealth weight management and metabolic health platform brought in a McKinsey-trained strategist to navigate a strategic inflection point. With Ampliflyer as a force multiplier, the strategist compressed industry onboarding from weeks to days, reframed near-term GTM expansion around lifecycle value, and elevated the long-term roadmap toward a Medicine 3.0 transformation thesis.

Challenge

In early 2026, a middle-market telehealth company in weight management and metabolic health hit a strategic inflection point. The business had built a large engaged patient base on a scalable virtual care model, but rising customer acquisition costs, shifting regulatory dynamics, and intensifying competition pressured leadership to sustain growth, improve unit economics, and expand into adjacent value pools. A newly appointed strategist — with experience from McKinsey and senior strategy roles inside Fortune 500 financial institutions — was tasked with rapidly building domain fluency, pressure-testing existing priorities, and translating high-level ambition into actionable pathways.

Approach

Across three connected workstreams, Ampliflyer was used to (1) synthesize a structured view of the telehealth weight-management ecosystem — competitive models, CAC dynamics, regulatory shifts, lifecycle engagement; (2) build a near-term go-to-market expansion strategy reframed as a lifecycle-driven opportunity, quantifying how modest gains in conversion and retention compound into meaningful financial impact; and (3) define a long-term Medicine 3.0 positioning grounded in longitudinal care, diagnostics, patient data utilization, and integrated services to lift retention and lifetime value.

Results

Onboarding compressed from weeks to days, enabling immediate participation in executive-level strategy discussions with structured, high-confidence insights. The GTM workstream shifted thinking from product launches to integrated lifecycle value creation. The long-term workstream elevated the strategic conversation toward business model transformation while staying aligned with near-term execution. Across all three use cases, Ampliflyer accelerated insight generation, expanded the solution space, and enabled faster iteration from hypothesis to actionable plan.

Testimonials

In their own words. At length.

We don't trim these into slogans. Leaders across private equity, consulting, and corporate strategy explain — in detail — what changed when they put Ampliflyer to work.

These testimonials reflect the experiences of early-access partners.

Our investment team are early adopters of AI, with access to a leading foundation model before the market. Over time, we worked with all of the leading models. Still, we found the need for a structured approach to AI-driven analytics inside our firm. We were looking for company information, deal insights and strategic synthesis that required more than what we were getting from any LLM alone. The traditional research firms also do not keep pace with new information sources which has always led to manual work to supplement it. Ampliflyer brought us this structured approach combined with deep, current information sources. We can simulate deal structures and model growth and return outcomes with confidence that the methodologies Ampliflyer uses are best practices. It can be used to evaluate targets around the world, and it can incorporate nuanced deal parameters. The approach is data-driven, verified and rigorous. It expedites our analysis while also pointing the team to new ways to generate returns.

I was incredibly impressed with how Ampliflyer has been able to create an automated consulting practice back office. While many have hypothesized the possibility of using AI to undertake strategy work, it is mostly a hodgepodge of semi-decent prompts that result in workslop and requires more actual expert intervention to get to results, and rarely improves the strategic outputs.

When I was first introduced to Ampliflyer, I imagined a best case scenario where I could replace my decent prompt engineering with some automated prompts that might give me slightly better results achieved in shorter time frames. Instead, what I got was the equivalent of a pre-trained consulting team that could act as not only the producer of core strategy materials, but generate new strategic approaches in partnership with me.

I had hoped that Ampliflyer would optimize my prompts in ways that improved the outputs I was getting from AI tools. Instead, it went way beyond that, expanding what was possible from AI-based tools. Now I think of Ampliflyer as a team of virtual strategists who can help me see the business, industry and competitive landscape much more strategically. With it I can more effectively set strategy and make better choices about everything from market shifts and competitive disruptions to potential acquisition targets.

For mid-market companies who have neither the budget nor the leadership capacity to undertake months-long strategy projects, Ampliflyer provides the strategy capability of an entire team without the disruption those initiatives require. It’s like having a management consulting firm in your back pocket.

I was truly surprised by the combination of speed and quality of output and the alignment with standard strategy consulting frameworks. Ampliflyer results reflect a great blending and synthesis of both the practical and theoretical application of strategic thinking. This creates a true accelerator to “from scratch” strategic planning or to strategy refreshes.

Ampliflyer also creates an easy interface to iterate on ideas, specific vectors / themes of work to allow for improvement of strategic response / positioning. Ampliflyer is already tuned with strategic synthesis in mind. So, rather than trust LLM’s to potentially incorporate all of the strategic steps that most strategists / analysts would consider relevant, Ampliflyer ensures that the LLM power is harnessed with that context in mind as a forcing function to higher quality output.

Ampliflyer is a fantastic and affordable tool to put exponential power in the hands of middle market personnel and makes one of the most critical elements of strategic work — the time it takes to generate this type of output — a non-issue. The workflow and interface is intuitive and requires very little “hand holding” to utilize effectively.

Boards and executives will continue to find ways to make AI tools available to their workforce. Workforce skills will continue to demand integration of AI skills. This is an easy win in terms of enabling strategy, finance and corporate development teams to remain relevant.

What surprised me most about Ampliflyer was not the speed (though collapsing weeks of certain kinds of secondary research and in-depth analysis into hours is remarkable and valuable) but the structure and discipline of the thinking it produces. Ampliflyer builds arguments. In one instance, it reframed a client’s customer operations from a cost center into a P&L lever, quantifying a 1% retention lift as a $15–20M EBITDA opportunity; precisely the kind of “so what” executives require but rarely see articulated so crisply.

For a firm like ours, Ampliflyer offers a force multiplier in a multitude of contexts. It expands the aperture of what a small, senior team can credibly deliver, providing deeper analysis, faster iteration, and more defensible recommendations, more quickly and more transparently. It allows us to spend less time assembling facts and more time exercising judgment and collaborating with our clients, which is where we actually create the most value. Unlike using off-the-shelf LLMs directly on a case-by-case basis, Ampliflyer behaves less like a clever assistant and more like a coordinated team of analysts. It integrates frameworks, data, and synthesis into a coherent strategic narrative, moving from observation to implication to action without losing rigor. It also checks its work, at every stage.

Ampliflyer closes the gap between information and decision. For private equity firms, the implications are immediate. In a market defined by a liquidity-value gap and pressure on DPI, Ampliflyer enables a shift from passive diligence (reducing the risk of what might go wrong) to active value creation (finding ways to make things go more right) through identifying operational levers, quantifying upside, and accelerating paths to realization. For portfolio companies’ leaders and their advisors, it offers a tool to reduce the noise and drive clarity around growth. In short, Ampliflyer does not replace strategy and strategists. It sharpens strategic capabilities and decision-making.

I immediately saw depth of research and clarity of output. As a startup, you’re often operating with incomplete information and a lot of ambiguity. Ampliflyer consistently produced structured, thoughtful views on market dynamics, trends, and segmentation that helped cut through that noise much faster than anything else I’ve used.

It’s a strong tool for driving clarity. We used it to better understand where we sit in the market and to refine our messaging across marketing materials. For a startup team, that’s critical. It reduces the amount of back-and-forth and guesswork and helped us align more quickly around a clear narrative and direction.

Using LLMs directly often requires a lot of effort to get beyond generic outputs. Ampliflyer feels more purpose-built for structured thinking. It consistently delivers more grounded, research-heavy insights, which is especially valuable when you’re trying to make strategic decisions with limited time and resources.

Looking back earlier in the life of my company, having access to Ampliflyer would have accelerated our path to clarity significantly. Early-stage companies spend a lot of time trying to define their market, positioning, and messaging. Having a tool that can synthesize that information and provide a more structured perspective would have shortened that cycle and helped us make more confident decisions earlier.

I’ve also used it on a side project for investment analysis, and it was equally strong there. The ability to synthesize complex information into something structured and usable is consistent across use cases.
